Company Profile: Medical Technology Products, Inc. was founded in 1982 by Thomas J. Hartnett , Jr. and others. The goal of the company was to design, develop and manufacture robust and user friendly volumetric intravenous infusion pumps, which could be used by all sectors in the medical transport community. In 1984, the company introduced the MTP® volumetric transport infusion pump. The MTP® infusion pump met the transport community's requirements for environmental performance in the field, such as in all types of air craft, and road ambulances. The company has a dynamic engineering staff which, over the years, has enhanced the MTP's ability to continue to be the most rugged and reliable pump used in patient transport. The company also provides a complete preventative maintenance service for those MTP pump purchasers who do not have the resources to perform these functions. This service includes testing and certification for fitness for use, and the necessary documentation for tracking and status purposes. Inclusive in this highly detailed service is the availability of MTP infusion pump upgrade, which will allow the pump owner to upgrade their pumps to the latest production features, or to customize, within limitation, to enable the pump owner greater versatility with regard to their operational requirements. Medical Technology Products, Inc. has designed and manufactured custom infusion pumps, using the rotary peristaltic pumping action, for research facilities, hospital and mobil cardiovascular diagnostic units, veterinary research and large animal care. We are positioned to quickly respond to the design requirements of individual special infusion pump users. The company is currently designing new infusion pumps, which will incorporate proven technology that will provide multiple unit interfacing, size reduction, yet continue the design criteria of robustness of the current MTP pumps produced.
